Mental Health Awareness Week 2022
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, in recognition of this we have asked staff for their thoughts on mental health which we will post throughout the week. We start the week with Lisa Todd our Acting Care and Support Manager.
" I am acting Head of Care and Support in DGMHA, my role in the organisation is to support team leaders and Managers of our services and provide them with any guidance they require, whilst ensuring the support we provide is of the Highest standard. Mental health affects around one in three people in Scotland in any one year.
This years theme for mental health awareness week is loneliness, it affects millions of people in the UK and is a key driver of poor mental health.
If I could wish for one thing it would be for everyone to have someone to speak to."
