Claremont Newsletter Apr-Jun 2025

A great overview and pictures has been shared from our Care Home team on the goings on at Claremont over the past few months:

We all felt Spring in the air and celebrated the end of the dull winter months by enjoying a picnic in the park by the Usual Place followed by an Easte Bonanza at Head Office. We certainly enjoyed the sugar rush from all the lovely sweets and treats. We did work it off during the Easter Hunt in the beautiful Crichton Grounds and a song and dance.

In May the team dressed up in Green to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week with our residents participating in expressing what helps them with their mental health. Michael certainly made us giggle with his mankini (over his clothes)!

Our staff member Thomas has been supporting our residents in maintaining the garden. Resident, Dougie’s tomato plants are a sight to behold. They are huge!

Staff and residents enjoyed a trip to the Circus and reflected on their childhood experiences and what Circus was like then versus now.

We welcomed our new Deputy Manager, Melanie, to the Claremont Team who seems to fit right in and has settled in well. We also welcomed a new resident, David, to our home. David has settled in well and we look forward to knowing him better.

The team were delighted to arrange a short holiday for two of our residents which was a complete success. This would not have been achieved without the support of our dedicated team and wanting to go that extra mile.

We also were surprised by a visit from the Cornets leading up to the Guidneighbours Celebrations. Most staff and residents decided to be a little camera shy that day. Penny certainly enjoyed a photo with the Cornets.

Many ideas and plans are already in the pipeline for the summer months so keep your eyes peeled for updates!
