Trip to Blair Drummond
On Monday 2nd September Service Users and Staff from our services in Dumfries and Castle Douglas went on a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park. A known favourite and requested by of some of people after visiting the park in summer last year.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side this year, and rained all day, however, this didn’t stop everyone still having a great time.
The group enjoyed a wander around the park looking at all the animals and getting photographed with their favourites, some being Penguins, Meerkats, Elephant’s and Rhino. In the afternoon the group met up to watch the Sealion show, which was fantastic. On return the day was completed by everyone enjoying a ‘Chippy Tea’.
This trip has been funded by the donation that DGMHA received from St Joseph’s College Dumfries, S3 pupils that won the YPI bid for funding for our charity. Our Service Users and Staff would like to thank the team of S3 pupils for making this trip possible.
